The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has rescued a six-year-old child,? Kosi Akilo, who was kidnapped recently.
The victim was abducted from their residence in the river lane axis of the G.R.A, Enugu by some hoodlums and whisked away to an unknown destination.
A statement made available to LEADERSHIP WEEKEND by the Enugu State police public relations officer, Ebere Amaraizu, disclosed that? Akilo was rescued at the early hours of yesterday at Ovwian in Warri, Delta State, by men of the Anti Kidnapping Unit of the state command led by Stephen Osaghae.
The Osaghae-led team, he stated, was assisted by the Anti Terrorism Unit in Delta State.
According to Amaraizu, the rescue operation followed a tip-off from people.
He further disclosed that the suspected leader of the gang was arrested.
