The Abuja home of Flying Eagles assistant coach Samuel Abimbola was burgled Sunday morning.
Abimbola, who is away on official duty with the Nigeria U-20 team in South Africa, disclosed that his family were away at Sunday service when the incident happened.
“My house in Area 11 in Abuja was swept clean by robbers while my family was away in church on Sunday,” reported Abimbola.
“My wife has since reported the incident to the police. She informed me that nothing of value was left in the house after it was forced open by the burglars.”
Abimbola said he was shocked by the incident as he lives in a block of 24 flats in the heart of the capital city. “It’s still a big shock to me that no person from the other 23 flats in my block noticed anything unusual during the burglary,” the stunned coach complained.
