The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said on Tuesday in Lagos that it would rehabilitate 36 residents displaced as a result of the DANA plane crash on Sunday.

He said that the affedcted residents were being taken care of by the Lagos government at its rehabilitation camps in? parts of the city.

?“We have one at Agbowa and we have another one that we want to use temporarily because of the number at around Igando Area.

?“So we are looking at it critically; we put the area on alert, so these 36 people that are displaced are going to be taken care of by the Government.’’

The general manager said the affected buildings would be pulled down soon, adding: “Today (Tuesday) would be the last day of the evaluation process”.

Osanyintola said security personnel at the scene would carry out investigations on the land, after which the buildings would be pulled down.

He said the agency would begin the demolition of the affected buildings after evaluating the debris, saying property belonging to the persons had been moved out of the buildings.

?One of the affected victims, Bidemi Adebayo, an auxiliary nurse, said she was not able to recover anything from the wreckage.

?“When it happened, I was sleeping, I just ran outside, so that was the only thing I could recall.

?“I didn’t recover anything, even when I ran outside, I didn’t put on anything, it was outside that they give me clothes because I was relaxing in the afternoon.’’

Another victim, Mrs Chidinma Iluka, said she lost one of her brothers in the accident while her husband and her brother in-law were still receiving treatment at the hospital.

The money that I collected — N150, 000 — the contribution that I made, so that I will use it to start a business – everything is lost.

“I collected it on Friday, then on Sunday the thing now happen; so what I want them to do for me now, my property, they have to do something about that, even the money I collect from loan — N850, 000 from HB Bank (Key Stone Bank), because there is no where I can get the money to pay them back, rather they will come and arrest me, my children and my husband.’’

She said she was yet to see her husband and brother-in-law even though she was told they were were receiving treatment at a hospital.
