Kaduna State Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa yesterday appealed to members of Akwat Akwop to embrace dialogue and reconsider their stand on a Fulani herdsmen.
Akwat Akwop, a self acclaimed Christian Militia group had issued a seven day ultimatum to resident Fulani herdsmen to leave the whole of Southern Kaduna areas or face spontaneous attacks.
The Governor who made the appeal through his Special Adviser (Christian Matters), Rev. Joseph John Hayab in a statement to LEADERSHIP, also appealed to all Fulani herdsmen to remain calm, as adequate security measures have been put in place by security agencies to guarantee their safety.
According to him, Christianity does not in any way harbor killings, sheer wickedness and other nefarious activities of mankind.
“As Special Adviser, Christian Matters to His Excellency, I find it imperative to categorically state that violence will not yield resolution and not a panacea for peace and development of Kaduna State,” he said.
