The EFCC told an Abuja High Court on Thursday that it had again failed in its bid to re-arrest Mrs Dora Gilmaska, a Polish suspect, in a fraud case.
Gilmaska has jumped the administrative bail which the commission granted her in September 2011.
An administrative bail is a sum of money in exchange for the release of an arrested person as a guarantee of that person's appearance for trial.
The EFCC usually grants such bail before an accused is arraigned at a competent court of law.
Gilmaska is facing a four-count charge of obtaining N16.9 million from one Tayo Olugbemi under false pretence.
Gilmaska, the Executive Officer of Icon Media and Marketing Agency Ltd., is also accused of issuing dud cheques.
The anti-graft agency, through its counsel, Mr Samuel Ugwuegbulam, informed Justice Abubakar Umar that the commission had not been able to track down Gilmaska.
Ugwuegbulam told the court that the commission was laising with the Interpol on how to rearrest her.
He told the court that the EFCC was in possession of the suspects' international passport.
Ugwuegbulam prayed the court for another adjournment as the EFCC operatives had launched an “operation'' to re-arrest her.
“My Lord, we are sorry to say that we do not have the suspect in our custody. We are constrained at the moment because she jumped the administrative bail the EFCC gave her temporarily.''
The judge recalled that the court granted EFCC the leave in August 2011 to bring the suspect and warned that this would be the last adjournment.
“This is the last adjournment I will be giving the EFCC. If by Sept. 27, you are not ready, I will strike out this suit. I cannot have it on my list for almost a year now and we are still at arraignment stage.''
Umar adjourned the case to Sept. 27, to enable the EFCC to arraign the suspect. (NAN)
