The police on Thursday?arraigned a 42-year-old businessman, Ifeanyi Ikechi, of Lugbe Zone 6, Abuja, for allegedly having?carnal knowledge of?three minors.
The accused, who was alleged to have committed the offence?with three male minors (names withheld),?pleaded not guilty before an Abuja Senior Magistrates'?Court.
The police prosecutor, Paul Anigbo, told the court that the case was reported at the Lugbe Police Station by Messrs Tunde Akanbi, Ilesanmi Dele and Timothy Agagwa, all of Lugbe Zone 6, Abuja, on June 9.
Anigbo said the accused committed the offence sometime in April,?adding that the act?was contrary to Section 284 of the Penal Code.
Senior Magistrate Binta Dogonyaro granted bail to the?accused?in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in?like sum. The sureties, she said, must be civil servants of not less than GL 17.
She said the civil servants must reside within the court's jurisdiction and adjourned the case till?July 18. (NAN)
