The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sagbama unit on Friday said it recorded four deaths at two separate fatal road accidents?on the Zarama-Sagbama axis of the East-West road.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in??Sagbama, the Head of Operations of FRSC, Sagbama unit, Mr Monday Okoro said that one of the incidents involving a Gulf Volkswagen car with three persons occurred last on Sunday on the Okoso bridge.
He said that the second one involved a blue Toyota Avensus with registration number AD 253 TDO and a Mack long truck with plate number AA 872 NBL between Sagbama and Adagbabiri axis of the East-West road on Wednesday.
Okoro said that four deaths and three injured were recorded in two different accidents.
He said that those who died in the accidents were two females and two males whose bodies had been deposited at the Patani General Hospital mortuary in neighbouring Delta.
Okoro said that one of the victims body suspected to be male was yet to be recovered from the Okoso River between Zarama and Kaiama.
He said that the document found on one of the victims showed that he was a native of Emani quarters Ajah Odubo and the Manager of Oando Petroleum in Cross River.
Okoro advised members of the public, who had not heard from their relatives and friends who embarked on journeys to check the Patani General Hospital mortuary for possible identification.
NAN reports that the Okoso bridge on the Zarama/Kaiama axis of the East/West road has recorded several fatal auto crashes in recent times, especially at nights. (NAN)
