51 Ships Discharge Food Items, Petroleum Products At Lagos Ports

Thirty-four ships laden with various food items and 17 others carrying petroleum products have arrived at Lagos ports.

Also, 70 others carrying various cargoes, including fish, rice, bulk salt, sugar, old and new vehicles, petroleum products and general cargo are expected to berth between June 27 and July 7.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that these facts were contained in the Nigerian Ports Authority’s shipping position released to the press on Wednesday in Lagos.

According to the authority, 52 of the 70 ships are expected to berth between June 27 and 30, and the remaining from July 1 to July 7.

The NPA said that the 34 ships had begun discharging their cargoes.

It added that the 17 ships carrying petroleum products had also begun discharging Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol), Dual Purpose Kerosene, Aviation fuel (JET A1), AGO (Diesel) and Palmolive.
