Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State has challenged the Peoples Democratic Party caucus to give vibrant leadership and come out with innovative ideas on how best to better the living standard of the people.
Jang gave the challenge in his remark at the PDP Plateau state orientation programme for the newly elected officers of the party in Jos at the weekend He said it is by so doing that the people will be better off through good governance.
He pointed out that one of the major roles of political parties is that of mobilising the people for the development of the society but? lamented that some party leaders have turned the platform into one for self aggrandizement
According to him, there should not lose sight as a family, adding that they must strive to carry everybody along.
He noted that with 2015 more than two years away there are beginning to feel vibration of ambitions, noting that it is a distraction as the party must therefore step and halt these destructive ambitions in the state.
The governor further disclosed that they should shun this temptation of early scheming for 2015 election, as they still have a lot to do for those who elected them into office just over a year ago.
