The Senate yesterday said it was yet to receive the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) from the presidency.
Briefing newsmen after plenary, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and Media,? Enyinnaya Abaribe, said they had expected the Bill in June.
Abaribe said, “Senate has been expecting PIB from the presidency. They said they will bring it by the end of June. Up till this moment we have not received it. But anytime it comes we will treat it.
“There will be no need to answer which version we will get. Whatever version that comes from the presidency is the version of the PIB. So any day we get it we will treat it. As at this moment, we have not received any communication as regards the Bill.”
