Armed robbers raided a van belonging to a first generation bank along Lagos-Badagry Expressway and carted away N58 million and also killed a policeman in the process.
According to a source, the robbers came from a neighbouring town in Ogun State and may have gotten information about the movement of the vehicle as they laid ambush for the vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. The robbers succeeded in taking away all the money in the van.
Our correspondent reports that the van was coming to Lagos en route the Badagry Expressway and the manner at which the armed robbers succeeded in the operation raised suspicions. The robbers have not been arrested yet.
