Plateau State government has concluded arrangement to give state burial to late Senator Gyang Dantong and the Plateau Assembly Majority Leader, Hon. Gyang Fulani who? died? as a result of an attack on burial procession? in Maseh village of Riyom and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas of the state recently.
The Commissioner of Information and Communication, Pastor? Yiljap Abraham? who stated this at a press briefing in Jos yesterday?? said that late Senator Dantong would be buried at the family burial ground on Tuesday July 24 2012 after the funeral service at the Government House Chapel Rayfield and service of song on Saturday?? at? Church of Christ In Nations ( COCIN ) Tya, Vom, while the late Hon. Fulani would be buried on Monday? at his residence in Rayfield after the funeral service at the Government House Chapel Rayfield and the service of song on Sunday.
According to him, the valedictory session to? honour the late lawmaker at the chambers of the state House of Assembly would hold today.
Yiljap expressed the appreciation of the citizens of the state to the entire nation and indeed the international community for the condolence messages to the families of the deceased and the state government.
In his words: “The state government has taken cognisance of the peculiarity of the prevailing times and has sought, together with relevant government agencies , to exercise due care and to respect the wishes of the two families” while according the late lawmakers state burial for their enormous contributions to the governance of the country and development of the state.
