The National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has again re-confirmed its endorsement and collaboration on the food and beverage, F&B, exposition, Foodbext West Africa, which promises to be a world-class event for the business development benefit of companies in the sector.
In a recent occasion of the unveiling the three-day event coming up in August at Eko Hotels and Suite, held at NAFDAC Oshodi office, Ogochukwu Menaisara, director, research and registration, NAFDAC, who represented the director-general, confirmed that the agency as principal regulator will be at the event and was committed to creating an appropriate environment for the development of F&B businesses, especially from a standpoint of food safety and proper standards of manufacturing practice.
In his contribution, chairman, 151 Products Limited, Sam Ohuabunwa, reassured companies that “the event will be a great opportunity for new and existing brands to consolidate on market shares as they promote brands, meet new distributors and enjoy the heavy media coverage of the event.”
In his words, “a gathering of distributors from across the region and various markets in Nigeria is definitely a prime audience for business development. Often, distributors and middle level channel members are important because they play a key role in the ultimate consumer decision.”
Several companies will be attending the exhibition to showcase their products, educate consumers, sample products, meet new distributors, promote brands for consumer cognitive benefits, and obtain useful feedbacks from the middle-market channels.
