Brown Ideye continued his impressive run in the new 2012/13 Ukraine Super League with two goals in Dynamo Kyiv’s 3-1 win over Hoverla-Zakarpattia on Saturday.
But Ideye left it very late to help Kyiv to the victory. Hoverla-Zakarpattia took the lead in the first half with a goal through AleksandrKosyrin in the 20th minute but OlehHusyev equalised for the home side in the 30th minute.
Ideye then took over in the last five minutes of the encounter when he scored a brace in the 86th and 93rd minutes to help preserve Kyiv’s 100% record in the new season. Ideye has now scored four of the five goals that Kyiv have scored this season.
After the match, Ideye said he is always trying to show his quality in every match. “I have scored four times in the championship and it just shows that Dynamo is in a good moment,” Ideye said to fcdynamo.kiev.ua.
“My goal and my task is to score goals. In every match, I try to show my quality to help my team and for the fans. I believe that this season will be a good one for me and for the team,” he added.
Ideye will have to shoulder more of the goal scoring for his side after the retirement of legendary striker Andriy Shevchenko.
Meanwhile Ideye’s compatriot, HarunaLukman was benched for the second consecutive game and was an unused substitute while Yussuf Ayila was not listed at all.
