The Lagos Coroner, Mr. Komolafe Oyetade, was shown the video footage of what happened at the site of the Dana air craft which crashed at? Iju-Ishaga, Lagos on July 3, 2012.
The clips that were shown were from Channels Television and Television Continental, two of the three media houses that were earlier summoned by the court.
A witness from Channels Television, Oreoluwa Shonibare, told the court that on that fateful day, he was on duty when he got a call from his director that there was a plane crash at Iju Ishaga.
He said he arrived at the scene at about 3:30 pm and saw a large crowd and a cloud of smoke which made it almost impossible to penetrate.
Shonibare described how the plane plunged into a two storey building and a bungalow. He added that it was tough seeing people burning and he had to help the rescue workers.
According to him, he tried to interview some of the rescue officials but they were not willing to give details of all that happened at the scene before he got there.
Cross examined by Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN, Shonibare said he could not give the exact number of the police men at the scene and added that the crowd was unruly at a point but that they were able to control them as best they could.
He also said that the rescue operation was a collective effort as the Lagos State Fire Service, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Air Force, Civil Defence Corps and rescue teams from Federal Airport Authority where all on ground to help.
Another witness,? Mr Olugboyega Oshifowora,? a reporter from television continental, who was also at the crash site, told the court that he had gone for an assignment earlier, when he came to file his report in the office and was immediately asked to go to Iju Ishaga, where the plane crash landed.
