Nigeria’s national basketball team, D’Tigers will this afternoon at the Basketball Arena of the Olympic Stadium in London play European powerhouse in their last preliminary game. The clash remains the only chance for the Nigerian men’s basketball team to progress to the quarter finals of the Olympics. Nigeria had won its first match against African foes Tunisia but lost to Lithuania, USA and Argentina to place fifth in Group A. Should Nigeria pull a surprise and beat France today, she stands a chance of reaching the second round technically but a defeat means the Nigerian side is out of the basketball event at the Olympics.
Nigeria is competing for the first time in the men’s basketball event in the Olympics.
The game takes place at 4.15 Nigerian time.
