A commercial motor-cyclist died and? six others sustained injuries on Thursday in a crash involving 12 vehicles near Karu Bridge on Abuja-Keffi Road, FRSC said.
The Deputy Corps Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Mr Bisi Kazeem, said that the multiple accident occurred when a low-loader conveying an excavator had a burst tyre.
“The excavator fell on the road, causing multiple collisions of about 11 vehicles,’’ Kazeem said in a text message dispatched to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He said the injured had been taken to Asokoro General Hospital, while efforts were on to ensure free flow of traffic. (NAN)
