Eid-el-Fitri: Mimiko Campaign Organisation Greets Muslims

?

The Olusegun Mimiko Campaign Organisation on Sunday in Akure felicitated with?Muslims in Ondo as they marked the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations, the end of the Ramadam fast..

The organisation?admonished them to imbibe the lessons and values of Ramadan which emphasises sacrifice for the
good of all.

In a statement made available to newsmen by its Director of Publicity and Media Relations, Mr Kolawole Olabisi, the organisation noted that the core values of Ramadan included personal sacrifices, piety and self denial at all times.

Muslim must demonstrate?these values at all times and not?only?during the holy month of Ramadan.

The release urged Muslims to pray for divine healing of the nation from wanton waste of lives and property that had plagued?the polity in recent times.

It noted that unless they rededicate themselves to the teachings?of the Prophet Mohammed (SAW) all their sacrifices during the 30 days fasting period would amount to nothing.

The organisation also stressed that?piety, devotion, spirit of oneness and good neighbourliness displayed during the
Holy Month must continue even after the fasting period as “we collectively pray god to take the country to greater
heights.

“On behalf of?Gov. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo? we want to advise Muslims?to continue to be your brothers’ keepers.

“We must live in peace with our neighbours, we must imbibe, at all times, the spirit of oneness, piety, and self sacrifice
that we all demonstrated?during the fasting period.

“We must emulate the teachings?Prophet Mohammed (SAW) if all our sacrifices and fasting must make any meaning before Almighty Allah.

“We, therefor, wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Ondo, ?and Nigeria as a whole, a happy Eid- el-Fitri and?pray
that the Almighty Allah grants our prayers and accept our deeds as acts of ibaadah,''Mimiko Campaign Organisation stated.

The organisation also assured the people of the state that the Mimiko admistration would not rest on its oars in ensuring that the spate of rapid?development in the state continues beyond October 20 “when Mimiko is voted in for the
second term in office”.(NAN)
