Two undergraduates were paraded by the Lagos State Police Command, yesterday, in connection with the murder of daughter of a retired Army General, Cynthia Okosogu in Festac Town area.
Lagos State Police commissioner, Umar Manko, identified the undergraduates as Nwabufor Okwumo, a 3OO-Level student of Accountancy at the University of Lagos and Ezekiel Odera, also a 300-level Accounting student at the Anambra State University.
Speaking during the parade held at police headquarters in Ikeja, Manko said that the build-up to their arrest began on July 22, this year when the lady, Cynthia Okosogu, the only daughter of the retired General was invited through the social media Black Berry chat by Okwumo to come over to Lagos and spend sometimes with him at his residence in Festac.
The lady arrived Lagos, sponsored by the student, who is running a part-time programme and was brainwashed into moving into a hotel around Festac by Nwabufo.
Unknown to her, that decision was the beginning of her death as she was drugged with ten tablets of grounded Rohypnol, which she drank, our correspondent learnt.
