Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State on Monday?condoled with the government and people of Adamawa over the recent flood?that claimed some lives and property worth millions of naira in the state.
Dankwambo delivered the condolence?when Gov. Murtala Nyako of Adamawa visited him?in Gombe.
He noted that?the disaster?rendered thousands of people homeless, destroyed farmlands as well as animals and prayed God to bring an end to the problem of floods and other crises in the region.
?He said that?it?was the first of its kind in the North-eastern part of the country.
Dankwambo said that Nyako’s visit would further cement the existing relationship between Gombe and Adamawa states
He also condoled with Nyako over the death of his friend, Alhaji Bappa Magaji, the Gombe State Leader of Fityanul Islam, an Islamic organisation.
Earlier, Nyako said he was in Gombe to condole with the family of the late Magaji, an Islamic cleric. (NAN)
