Screening of prospective participants for West Africa’s biggest soccer reality television show, the Glo Soccer Academy, will begin October 8, 2012 in Kumasi.
Glo said all applicants in Kumasi and environs would be screened at the Paa Joe Stadium, Kwame Nkurumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi after which it would subsequently hold in the other eight venues in Ghana, Nigeria and Benin Republic.
In Tamale, Ghana, the screening will be held at the Tamale Sport Stadium between Friday October 12 and Saturday 13, 2012.
The Screening train would move to the capital of Ghana, Accra from Wednesday October 17 to 18, 2012 where talented players would be picked for the Academy House at the Lizzy Sport Complex, East Legon.
Between Tuesday October 23 and 24, selection of players would hold at the Sam Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Nigeria while successful players would be selected from the Enugu Centre on Saturday October 27 to Sunday 28 at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.
The garden city of Port Harcourt would host the Glo Soccer Academy Screening team from Wednesday October 31 to November 1, 2012 at the Liberation Stadium while it would be the turn of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja to host the screening team from Monday 5th to 6th November, 2012 at the Old Parade Ground.
Nigeria’s commercial capital of Lagos would host the screening team at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos from Friday November 9 to Sunday 11 2012.
The last batch of screening exercises would hold in two locations in the Republic of Benin.
The capital city of Cotonou would screen potential academy footballers at Stade de Rene Prive on Tuesday November 13 while the last screening would be conducted in Port Nouvo Friday 14 November, 2012 at the Charles de Gaulle Stadium. The Glo Soccer Academy is open to male footballers from the age of 14 to 17 years and 33 players would be picked from the screening exercises to be conducted in the nine venues. The selected 33 players would be camped at the Glo Soccer Academy in Lagos where they would be trained by celebrity coaches from West Africa and Manchester United Football Club.
