Thirteen Chief Superintendents of Police who were found worthy of promotion have been elevated to the rank of Assistant Commissioners of Police, ACPs by the Police Service Commission, PSC.
The PSC which made this known in a statement signed yesterday? by the commission’s spokesman, Mr Ferdinand Ekpe, said the promotions which took effect from October 3, 2012 was in? continuation of its resolve to reward all hard working and deserving police officers with promotion to the next rank.
The affected officers include Ojeka Paul,?? Edung Patrick,?? Kayode Sikiru? Arop Augustine and? Badara Banji . Others are? Adelayo Olukayode, Onyeka Nnamdi, Yusuf Suleiman,? Anyasinti Nneka,? Ekot Emmanuel, Kanayochukwu? Stanley and?? Mozie Ifeatu.
Similarly, the Commission approved the promotion of four Superintendents of Police to Chief Superintendents. Also, a Deputy Superintendent of Police and an Assistant Superintendent of Police were elevated to the rank of Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent respectively.
Ferdinand Ekpe said the PSC Chairman, Mr Parry Osayande congratulated the successful officers, and? called on them to live up to the new responsibilities their elevation had placed on them.
He also admonished all members of the Nigeria Police Force to work hard so as to earn promotion “as it is only competence and hard work that would earn an officer promotion,” he said.
