The House of Representatives has invited the Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar, over the recent gruesome attack on students of the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, Adamawa State and the killing of four students of the University of Port Harcourt.
The Police czar is expected to appear before the House Committee on Police Affairs.
Following a motion moved by Abubakar Wamba, the Lower House questioned the perceived late response of the police and other security agencies in the two incidents, the Mubi incident claiming 40 lives.
Lawmakers observed a minute silence for the slain students.
In separate contributions, lawmakers, Aliyu Sani Madaki, Jerry Manwe and Samson Osagie called on security agencies to launch deeper investigation in the matter and fish out the perpetrators.
