The Peoples` Democratic Party (PDP), has said that national integration, and not ethnic affiliation, is what is required to save Nigeria from the current political impasse.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Olisa Metuh, made this known in a statement on Saturday ahead of the Ondo State governorship election slated for Oct. 20.
According to the statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), he urged voters to ensure their votes were in favour of PDP, represented by Mr Olusola Oke.
Metuh, who extolled the sterling qualities of Oke, said that he was one of the best candidates the party had ever presented for a gubernatorial election.
He said that a vote for PDP would ensure the return of Ondo State to mainstream politics.
He described the governorship candidate as someone who had served in various capacities, putting his people’s interest first. (NAN)
