Super Eagles coach who watched the Golden Eaglets beat their Guinean counterpart 3-0 yesterday to qualify for the U-17 World Cup has predicted the team is good enough to win the World Cup. He said this while winger and one of the goal scorers in the 6-1 routing of Liberia, Ahmed Musa, was treated to a special birthday on Saturday night after the team’s win. Victor Moses is expected to mark his in the coming days.
The birthday session, which was not planned for, was announced by Head Coach Stephen Keshi, who said a cake has been prepared for Musa to mark the session. Musa said at the occasion that he is wishing a Nations Cup triumph for the team, when next he will be marking his birthday.
Keshi said the Golden Eaglets he saw trash Guinea 3-0, is capable o winning the World Cup at the U-17 level. Keshi spoke after he led officials of the team to cheer up the Eaglets in the last round qualifier against Guinea, Sunday evening. “It’s a good team and they are capable of doing great things including winning the World Cup trophy, kudos to the coaching crew and the technical staff”, Keshi said after watching the Eaglets win.
