Telecommunications company, Globacom, has commended the Super Eagles for its outstanding performance against the Lone Star of Liberia on Saturday in Calabar.
?Glo in a statement gave kudos to the Super Eagles for not only defeating the Liberians comprehensively, but also qualifying for the next Nation’s Cup in South Africa. The company urged the team not to rest on its oars as the battle has just begun. “This is the time for the coaching crew to correct all lapses noticed in the team during qualifying matches as Nigerians expect the team to go and conquer Africa”, the statement said.
As the preparation for the next Nations Cup begins in earnest, Globacom has called on the Nigeria Football Federation to line up friendly matches with top footballing nations with a view to keeping the team in shape and ready for the biggest continental tournament which starts in January 2013.
The company also commended the rebuilding process so far undertaken by the technical crew, advising that emphasis should be placed on selecting the fittest players who are capable of making Nigeria proud at the tournament. Globacom is the major partner of the Nigeria Football Federation and official sponsor of Nigeria national teams.
