Transactions on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) remained on the upbeat on Wednesday as the market indices grew by 0.31 per cent
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the All-Share Index appreciated by 84.51 points or 0.31 per cent to close at 27,194.13 from the 27,109.62 recorded on Tuesday.
The market capitalisation, which opened at N8.638 trillion, also appreciated by N27 billion to close at N8.665 trillion
Nestle led the price gainers’ chart with a gain of N55 to close at N680 per share.
NewGold followed, gaining N13 to close at N2, 677 per unit, while PZ Cusson grew by N1.45 to close at N27.40 per share.
CAP gained N1.30 to close at N28.30 per share, while Nigeria Breweries rose by 84k to close at N138.90 per share.
On the other hand, Guinness led the losers’ chart with a loss of N13.67 to close at N266.33 per share.
International Breweries came second, dropping N1.27 to close at N12.73 per share, while OkomuOil shed 98k to close at N34.02 per share.
?Presco lost 57k to close at N14.41 per share, while Oando dipped by 40k to close at N11.70 per share.
In all, investors exchanged 457.65 million shares worth N4.9 billion in 5,769 deals against the 444.92 billion shares worth N3.8 billion traded in 6,619 deals on Tuesday.
