Afenifere Leader,? Chief Reuben Fasonranti, has advised? governorship candidates who lost out in Saturday's? election in Ondo State to accept their defeat as sportsmen.
Fasonranti, who? said they should wait for another term to re-contest? the governorship, advised them to? return? to the drawing boad.
The elder statesman? said the victory of Gov. Olusegun Mimiko represented? the wishes of the people of Ondo State.
He said the election was free, fair and peaceful, adding that those who lost the election had no reason to compalain.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser tothe President on International Relations, Dr Pius Osunyikanmi, said the victory of Dr Olusegun Mimiko was a welcome development.
He said the victory was in line with the wishes of the electorate in Ondo State.
''We must note that the victory lies on the record of Mimiko's? performance in the first tenure in office.
''It is a clear signal for those who are aspiring for leadership position at all levels of governance,'' he said.
He said Nigerians were easy to govern because they appreciate and reward good leaders for their performance.
