Consider Our Criticisms As Positive, CPC Tells Gov Aliyu

The Niger state chapter of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has advised Gov Muazu Babangida Aliyu not to adopt diversionary tactics in addressing some of the key issues raised by the opposition parties in the state, as no body is sponsoring them against the government.

In a release by the Chairman of the party, Umar Shuaibu, yesterday in Minna, the party challenged the government to address the issues as raised by the three opposition parties of the ANPP, ACN and CPC in their joint press conference.

According to the party, the claims that some highly place individuals were sponsoring the opposition parties to destabilize the state was unfounded and therefore challenge the government to mention those behind the opposition parties as claimed.

?“The CPC challenges the Governor to mention the names of the highly placed individuals insinuated; otherwise his response can only serve as further proof of his team’s affliction with “wasp mentality”, which is the hallmark of his administration’s under-performance,” he said.

Shuaibu said, “The Aliyu administration must be reminded that the questions posed in the press conference jointly held by the three opposition parties are about his scorecard, and they remain unaddressed”.

The chairman said that the “CPC therefore admonishes the PDP government of Niger state to see any constructive criticism as a lifeline extended to any administration”.
