The minister for information and communication Labaran Maku has? expressed satisfaction on? the quality of? roads construction in Plateau state under the leadership of governor Jonah Jang of the state.
Maku stated? this yesterday in Jos during the National good governance tour of the state.
According to him, the quality of materials used in constructing the roads has been the reason why? after? four years ago the roads? are still intact and have not developed any potholes.
During the inspection of the over 300 Taxi cabs tackling poverty together which is aimed at alleviating poverty procured by governor Jang? the minister? expressed the need for? proper transportation system in the country stressing that?? the revival of this taxi cabs was borne out of the experience most? citizens have passed? through in the hands of reckless motorcycle riders popularly okada.
He also? urges other states to replicate the scheme.
The good governance tour is an initiative of the federal ministry of information with the aim of accessing projects embarked upon by the federal? state and the local government.

Projects inspected? by the ministers include some Major? roads in the city of Jos, the Fobur _ Angware road , the greater Jos Bukuru water treatment plant, permanent site of JUTH, UNijos ETF projects. Jos university teaching hospital, the FiFA Rated stadium Goodluck Jonathan way,??? Vom Manchock road among other projects.
At the Jos university teaching hospital the chief Medical director, Dr Ishaya Pam said the hospital would remain? appreciative and grateful to president Goodluck Jonathan who he stressed? has continue to support the development projects in the hospital.
The ministers are expected to hold a town Hall meeting in Jos Wednesday with stake holders in the state.
