Nigerian pilgrims on Wednesday join millions of pilgrims worldwide trooping to Muna for Arafat day which comes up tomorrow, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
Arafat day marks the beginning of Hajj 2012 activities.
NAN reports that pilgrims started leaving for Muna as early as 8.00 p.m. on Tuesday but the movement peaked on Wednesday.
The movement of the pilgrims to Muna signifies the beginning of Hajj rites for which pilgrims would spend four days supplicating to God.
However, the movements of vehicles were greatly hampered by the security check put in place by the Saudi authorities.
Most of the pilgrims commended their various states governments for providing conductive environment in their tents to ensure hitch-free Hajj.
One of the Pilgrims, Alhaji Jafaru Muhammad from Niger,? commended the state government for providing pilgrims with befitting facilities and free feeding.
Another pilgrim, Alhaji Muhammad Gumel from Jigawa, thanked the state government for providing free feeding TO PILGRIM both in the camp and in Mecca.
However, in contrast it was complain galore at the Kano state government tent as some of the pilgrims complained about lack of sleeping space in their tent and the fact their officials were conspicuously absent as pilgrims could not find them.
The pilgrims lamented that lack of adequate space to sleep was affecting them in the performance of their daily prayers because they could sleep or rest properly.
The pilgrims are expected to begin intensive prayers on Thursday, the most important aspect of the pilgrimage.
