Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed, has assured residents of the territory of their security as they celebrate Sallah.
The minister who gave the assurance in a Sallah message yesterday, said the FCT administration was working together with the various security agencies to ensure safety of lives and property in the FCT during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
The message which was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the minister, Nosike Ogbuenyi, quoted him as saying, “ample measures have been put in place to ensure that miscreants do not have their way”.
Mohammed advised the residents to be vigilant and cooperative by reporting all unlawful acts and suspicious movements to the police and other relevant officials.
He stressed the importance of selfless life of love and sacrifice by the people based on the principles behind the Eid-el-Kabir and called on all residents to be law-abiding.
This was just as he also called for greater unity, love and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians as well as total support for the federal government as it strives to improve their wellbeing.
