Dzyn Couture,? YUTEES and House of Silk have rewritten the rules in the? dynamic world of? fashion design in the nations capital, CHALYA DUL writes.
Typically, from humble beginnings, these designers are more buoyant than they have been in years.? DZYN Couture, YUTEES and House of Silk are female designers who have conquered the challenges before them as they climb the ladder of success to become a household name in the Nigerian fashion industry.
Reputed for their unique designs in quality female handbags, dresses, shoes, accessories and lots of other products, their work have become increasingly influential on the Nigerian public who have tested their products. “These female designers have the advantage to design with their self in mind and that is why many of their designs resonate strongly with their customers. It’s as if they read the minds of their customers,” says Jumoke, an unswerving customer.
More than anything, women’s success in fashion is down to trusting their instincts, arranging things their own way and getting things done almost perfectly; these designers are out to cater for the needs of women of different ages and tastes who crave to make style statements always.
DZYN couture was founded in 2003 by sisters Ogwa and Ofure. The fashion house started out casually with exactly five dresses.
But today, they design and make thousands of garments annually.? All stages of production from design and sketching to tailoring and quality control are done in-house by one of their dedicated team. This way, they ensure the highest quality on every individual garment they make. This is to both the ready-to-wear and made-to-order products.
