As the Glo Golf Tour enters its second day at the IBB Golf and Country Club in Abuja, foremost Nigerian professional golfer, Emos Korblah, has said that his eyes are on the ultimate prize. “I am participating to win the tournament. We have a lot of good players from Gambia, Senegal, Ghana and Nigeria, it is going to be tough but I intend to enjoy myself,” he said.
?On the rivalry between Nigerian and Ghanaian players, he said: “Yes a lot of Nigerian players will give me a tough time because Nigeria has very good players. Players like Oche, Edet and Martins, name them. They are very tough.” Korblah who said he expects to have a good week said. With prize money of N62.2m, the tourney which is on its third leg has the highest prize for PRO-AM for golf tournaments in the whole of Africa. The first leg in Asaba, Delta State, was won by Ghanaian Vincent Torgah and the second leg at the prestigious Elephant Cement Golf Club in Sagamu, was won by Nigeria’s Andrew Oche Odoh. The tour will come to an end next week at the Otukpo Golf and Country Club in Benue State.
