UBA Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of UBA in support of the golden jubilee celebration of The Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on Thursday, donated two incubator machines to the children ward in the hospital.
The incubators donated by UBA Foundation are first of its kind in LUTH because each of them comes with a digital controller and emergency self powering units (ESPU) technology which run on self emergency power in the case of power outage.
According to the MD, UBA Foundation, Ms Ijeoma Aso, the donation is to enable seamless optimal usage and also to ensure that many babies’ lives are saved. UBA Foundation had in the past donated Dialysis machines worth N7million naira to LUTH.
Regional Bank Head Mainland Bank, UBA, Ilesanmi Owoeye, who led UBA management staff to LUTH for the donation talked on the strategic relationship UBA had with LUTH over the years.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Prof Olugbenga Ogunlewe, Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, LUTH who represented Prof Akin Osibogun, Chief Medical Director, commended UBA Foundation for the donation.
