A total of 256.13 million shares worth N2.1 billion were traded in 4,438 deals on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this was against the 237.17 million shares worth N1.6 billion exchanged in 3,182 deals on Monday.
?The All- Share Index, which opened at 26, 363.55, grew by 3.43 points or 0.01 per cent to close at 26,363.98.
Similarly, the market capitalisation appreciated by N1 billion or 0.01 per cent to close at N8.393 trillion against the N8.392 trillion achieved on Monday.
NAN reports that NewGold topped the gainers’ chart with a gain of N24 to close at N2, 678 per unit.
Nestle trailed, gaining N23.32 to close at N625 per share, while GlaxoSmithKline rose by N1.96 to close at N41.34 per share.
Oando appreciated by 36k to close at N11.99 per share, while Lafarge Wapco grew by 35k to close at N58.50 per share.
?On the other hand, Nigerian Breweries led the price losers’ chart with N2 to close at N138.01 per share.
Zenith Bank followed with a loss of 55k to close at N16.45 per share, while Ashaka Cement lost 50k to close at N19 per share.
FBNH depreciated by 47k to close at N14.55 per share, while UBN dipped by 46k to close at N7.44 per share. (NAN)
