President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday said that Nigeria would overcome its current security and developmental challenges and pulled down its walls of Jericho.
The President, who spoke at the annual Holy Ghost Congress organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, told the congregation that “Nigeria will cross the walls of barriers to her development. We will pull down the walls of Jericho.”
In his special address monitored in Abuja by our correspondent, Jonathan noted that Nigeria is currently passing through a lot of challenges but added that “nothing is above the power of God. That I am the President of Nigeria is a proof of what God can do.
My administration is committed to change and that is what we are doing in the electoral system.
Power supply is improving gradually. There are security challenges but we shall overcome them.”
He thanked Christians for continually praying for the unity of the country, stressing that “Nigeria is one because of your relentless prayers.”
The President again said that it was too early to start any discuss on 2015 general elections.
