Yakowa A Distinguished Administrator, Patriot, Says Emir Of Zazzau

The Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris on Sunday described the late Gov. Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna state as a distinguished administrator and patriot, who served humanity well.

The Emir, who is the Chairman of the State Council of Chiefs, said Yakowa had “shaped the lives of humanity.’’

“No doubt late Gov. Yakowa’s death has robbed Kaduna state and the nation of the services of a great patriot and public figure,’’ he stated in a condolence letter made available to newsmen in Kaduna.

According to him, the governor had contributed immensely to the development of the nation, through diligence, hard work and honesty.

He commiserated with the people of the state, urging them to pray for the soul of the deceased.

Also, the Chief of Fadan Kagoma, Kpop Gwong, Zakkah Wyom described the late governor as a humble and ambitious person, who had great plans for the development of the state.

He lamented over the death of the governor, urging people in the state to emulate his good virtues.

Former governor of the state, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi also urged the people to continue with the legacies of Yakowa, especially his pursuance of peace, stability and development.

Makarfi described the late governor as an honest, committed, hardworking and respected person, who strived towards ensuring the overall development of the state.

Meanwhile, the All Nations Christian Assembly, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna dedicated its service on Sunday in praying for the repose of the soul of Yakowa.

Elder Johnson Akinwale, who led the prayers, prayed that God would give the family, the state and the country the fortitude to bear the loss.

The Church also prayed for peace and stability to reign in the country, and for God to endow the in-coming governor, the wisdom to discharge his responsibility diligently.
