Egypt’s ousted president Hosny Mubarak has returned to prison after undergoing medical examinations at a military hospital, state television reported on Thursday.
Mubarak, 84, was taken to the hospital in the southern Cairo quarter of Maadi for tests late Wednesday, after he slipped and suffered head and rib injuries last week, the report said.
He was taken back the same evening to the prison near Cairo where he is serving a life sentence for his role in deadly attacks on demonstrators during an uprising that eventually deposed him almost two years ago. (dpa/NAN)
