Chairman, Legal Committee on National Council of Privatisation, Yunus Ustaz Usman, (SAN)has said the best legacy parents can leave for their children is a quality education. He said an educated child is an asset to the family and the society.
According to him, money and property would not take any child far in life.
He spoke in Kaduna shortly after a special prayer to mark his 55th birthday in his house. He declared that it is a risk for the rich to keep money and property for their children because such unearned wealth could expose them to bad friends and resort to criminal acts that could ruin their life.
Usman said the records of such parents would be dominated by the sins committed by their wayward children, adding that God on the day of judgement would not find such parents blameless.
He commiserated with the immediate family of the late ex-governor of Kaduna state, Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, the people of the state and Nigeria over the loss of the statesman, wishing the new governor, Dr. Muktar Ramalan Yero, God’s guidance in moving the state forward.
He admonished Nigerian leaders and the rich to always fear God and pray to Allah to guide them in whatever they do because their actions directly or indirectly affect the larger society.
