As the year 2012 gradually winds down, the Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has assured Nigerians that the president would fix Nigeria before the end of2013.
Speaking with senior editors in Lagos, yesterday, Dr. Okupe said that the year 2013 would be Nigeria’s year of glory; a year of our manifestation and a year of positive changes in all facets of life.
‘”Let me emphasise as Mr. President rightly affirmed that the year 2013 will be Nigeria’s year of glory; a year of our manifestation. It will be a year of positive changes in all facets of life. President Jonathan will fix Nigeria,’’ he said.
Okupe who went down memory lane to recount the achievements of his boss in the last two years, maintained that the Nation has never had it so good in electricity generation and the ongoing revolution in the Agric sector.
He said that Agricultural sector alone would provide jobs for 780,000 graduate farmers next year adding that each of the farmers has the capacity to employ four people on their farms which would ultimately generate more than four million jobs.
The aide to the President said that there would be a significant leap in the economy of the nation next year through massive job creation in different sectors which will lead to wealth creation and massive reduction in criminal activities.
‘”Government has not foreclosed dialogue with the Boko Haram people. I believe that dialogue will eventually be the way out of the crisis but such dialogue must be transparent, constructive and with the real leaders of the group as there are factions within them now,” he said.
