President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday vowed to monitor strictly compliance of set rules of conduct of the Nigeria Police Force as they discharge their duties in the country.
The president stated this in Abuja when he launched the ‘Code of Conduct and Professional Standards for Officers and Men of the Nigeria Police Force.’
He implored the Police High command to ensure that all police officers must be fully aware of its provisions and to strive at all times to live up to its standards.
Represented by Vice President Namadi Sambo, Jonathan described the code as simple and easy for all police officers and members of the public to understand, and that it reflects international conventions for law enforcement agents.
