The investors net worth on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday appreciated by 0.45 per cent as the market closed on a positive note.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this followed the impressive rally recorded by most capitalised stocks.
At the end of trading, the All-Share Index, which opened at 30,842.54, grew by 141.29 basis points to close at 30,983.83 points.
Also, the market capitalisation appreciated by N45 billion or 0.45 per cent to close at N9.91 trillion as against N9.87 trillion recorded on Monday.
Dangote Cement led the gainers’ chart with N5 to close at N145 per share.
The Julius Berger followed, gaining N3.87 to close at N42.59 per share, while NewGold appreciated by N2 to close at N2, 583 per unit.
The International Breweries grew by N1.97 to close at N21.72 per share, while CAP share price rose by N1.52 to close at N31.97.
On the other hand, Ashaka Cement led the losers’ chart dropping by N2.19 to close at N20 per share.
The Guinness followed with N2 to close at N285 per share, while Presco depreciated by N1.05 to close at N23.60 per share.
The Nigerian Breweries lost N1 to close at N152 per share, while NASCON dipped by 57k to close at N10.
Investors traded 554.68 million shares worth N4.1 billion exchanged in 7,561 deals against 708.82 million shares valued N3.7 billion traded in 6,097 deals on Monday.
