A new twist emerged, yesterday, following the story of a man caught with five human skulls in his house in Mangu, Plateau State as Meyitti-Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Plateau State Chapter, identified him as one of their members. The association also accused the Special Task Force on Jos Crisis and the Beroms of colluding to implicate the suspect.
State secretary of MACBAN, Malam Muhammad Nura, said in a statement issued in Jos yesterday, that the alleged “discovery of the said human skulls in the ceiling of the house of Alhaji Sale Abarshir by the STF who paraded the suspect was just a set up and conspiracy between the Berom and STF to dent the good image of not only Alhaji Sale, but the entire Fulanis.”
He said in the release that the suspect was a revered elder in the Mangu Community of Mangu Local Government Area of the State, whose character and actions portray peace and sincerity and stressed that the man was neither a wizard nor a criminal.
He maintained that the Miyetti Allah demanded urgent and sincere investigation into the matter by the Crime Investigation Department (CID), of the Nigeria Police, which had taken over the case from the STF.
