The National Examination Council has released NECO 2012 external November/December Senior Secondary School Examination SSCE result with 54 percent and 33.8 percent credit pass above in mathematics and English language respectively.
The Result released by the Registrar of the Council, Professor Promise Okpala, accompanied, by the Chairman of the councils Board of director, Dr Paddy Njoku, showed that there was an improvement in the pass level over that of 2011.
The analysis showed that 75, 245 sat for mathematics and 41,228 had credit pass above representing the 54 percent as against 44.74 percent in 2011 while 25,630 passed English language on the same grade with 33.8 percent as against 10.03 percent in 2011 where only 10.457 passed the subject with credit and above.
The results released showed that English language recorded over 50 percent improvement in the pass level as against 2011 while mathematics recorded 30 percent improvement in the level of credit pass.
Other subjects improvement was recorded over that of 2011 were in Biology, Chemistry, physics, and Further Mathematics and Agricultural science.
