Enugu Rangers have said they are “studying” an offer of 12 million Naira (about $75,000) tabled by Warri Wolves for AFCON star Sunday Mba.
Sunday Mba is in the middle of a transfer saga between Warri Wolves and Rangers international.
The Nigeria Football Federation had given both clubs till Thursday to decide on the transfer fee of the player and resolve the issues surrounding his return to club football.
“Warri Wolves have demanded for a 12 million Naira transfer fee. We would look at their request and let them know what we can offer, then when we agree we get back to the NFF,” declared Foster Chime, the spokes person of Rangers.
“We are on our way back from a game against Kaduna United, but our GM is in Enugu, so when I arrive the coal city I would get a clearer picture of the offer made by Wolves.”
Mba will set a new transfer record in the Nigeria domestic league if he eventually goes to Rangers for a double figure.
The NFF have ruled that Mba belongs to Warri Wolves, who will now have to agree a transfer fee for the player as he has insisted he does not wish to continue to play for them.
