Arewa Youths Forum (AYF) has expressed dismay over the way and manner the Vice President Namadi Sambo has been handling his purported presidential ambition saying he should not disgrace the region.
The group in an emergency meeting in Kaduna, said that as the most superior public office holder from the region, he should stand up and brace up to the reality of events in the North, adding that Namadi’s image was dwindling and losing acceptability within the political class, traditional institutions, women, youth groups and the peasants across the 19 Northern states.
“ It must be noted that virtually all the respected traditional rulers, clergy, political class and others in the region have attested to this fact.
From the foregoing, it is glaring that the vice president is in short supply of thinkers and running out of expertise on how to manage the ongoing political intricacies and those of the future which are certain but in dire need of deciphers to carry on the challenge for the vice president’s unflinching support to his principal, President Goodluck Jonathan, which has evidence shown that he is truly committed to. ?

“The vice president must look inward thoroughly and squarely, because at the end of every challenge attributions of failure or success and that of posterity will only be referred to his person first, and that is why it is said that leaders must be firm and resolute in breaking ground and making decisions,” the group stated.
According to the group,?
“We only chose to state our positions than to remain silent and hypocritical, pretending all is well whereas it is not as the boat kept capsizing. We want to know if Nigerian presidency will shift base to the North or not.
We are mindful of our region, considering the outright waywardness and insensitivity of governance as it is being practiced with impunity and without sense.”
