FCTA Partners Market Stakeholders For Greater Service Delivery

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has stated its commitment to partner with key stakeholders in turning around investment infrastructure in the city for greater service delivery to the residents and visitors of the Federal Capital City.

This position was made known by the Special Adviser, (Investments) to the FCTA Minister, Hajia Nasifa Nuhu, during a stakeholders’ meeting at the Garki Model Market yesterday in Abuja.

Briefing journalists after the meeting, Nuhu noted that the FCT ministers administration of was determined to ensure that all government infrastructure and investments such as markets were? operating at optimum capacity.

She commended the efforts of the Abuja Markets Management Limited (AMML), managers of the Garki Model Market, in upgrading the facilities at the market and called on the shop owners and other stakeholders to join rank with government agencies to improve on what was achieved in the market.

The meeting, which had in attendance shop owners and relevant government agencies was an opportunity for the stakeholders to point out areas that still require government attention and intervention in the market.

The Chairperson, Market Men and Women Association of Nigeria,? Hajia Sani while extolling the effort of Abuja Markets Management Limited in Garki Model Market,? urged other agencies of government to borrow a leaf from AMML’S achievement towards the actualisation of the set goal of the current administration in the FCT.

Earlier in his remark the MD, AMML, Abubakar Faruk, represented at the occasion by AGM (Corporate Services) , Zachariah Alaku,? said the meeting was called to engage the stakeholders on how to sustain the turnaround recorded in the market.
