The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Murtala Nyako of the Peoples Democratic Party winner of the Adamawa gubernatorial polls.
Nyako polled 302, 953 votes to beat the Action? Congress of Nigeria ( ACN) candidate, Markus Gindir, who recorded 260, 023 votes.
The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) candidate, Buba Marwa, scored 107, 564 votes.
Nyako won 13 out of the 21 local government areas in the state, while the ACN candidate won eight.
?The only female candidate in the race, Hajiya Zainab Kwonchi, secured 2,846 votes, to place fifth.
