As condolence messages continue to pour in for the acting Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Muhammad Dahiru Abubakar over the death of his wife, Maryam, Governor of Niger State, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has joined several Nigerians to commiserate with the police chief.
A condolence message personally signed by Governor Aliyu urged the IGP to be consoled by the fact that it is only Allah (SWT) that gives and takes life whenever He pleases.
Aliyu said the death of Hajiya Maryam is a devastating experience for the police boss, especially at this critical period when her emotional support is needed to succeed in his new assignment.
Governor Aliyu urged the IGP not to be discouraged by the untimely death, but should forge ahead with the enormous task of repositioning the Nigeria Police to meet its responsibility of providing security of lives and property.
The Niger State Governor said the best tribute that the IGP can pay to his late wife is to continue to touch the lives of Nigerians positively like he has been doing since he joined the Police force some three decades ago.
He prayed Allah to grant the deceased Aljannah Firdaus and members of her family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
